COURSE DESCRIPTION
|
|
Radiographic testing level I course provides the knowledge required to understand
the method, operate the Gamma Ray and X-ray equipment. Our course structure is compiled
based on the recommendations of ASNT’s document SNT-TC-1A.

- RT theory and its applications
- Advantages and limitations of RT
- Codes /standards requirements as per ASTM, ASME, API, AWS & BS etc.
- Familiarization of equipment
- Exposure techniques and exposure calculations
- Selection of IQI and geometric requirements.
- Film Processing and dark room practices
- Radiation safety

COURSE DURATION
|
|
5 Days (40 hours) of training Examination (Theory, Specific and Practical)
40% class-room training with power point presentation, lecture and Q&A.
60% hands-on practical on A-Star engineered weld flaw samples.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
|
|
Engineers, inspectors and technicians aspiring to acquire the proficiency and knowledge
in radiographic testing. This course provides access to employer based qualification
and certification.

CERTIFICATION
|
|
NDT RT level I certificate will be provided on successful completion of General,
Specific and Practical examinations with an aggregate of 80%.
|
|
COURSE EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS
|
|
We provide training materials, RT equipment &accessories, dark room and film viewing
facility and sample specimens.
